Ps3 not updating games

We are aware of a roster sync issue on the XBOX 360 and Play Station 3 consoles.

When a user first gets a roster update, everything works as expected.

Due to the fact that it requires a licensing agreement with Sony (which is considered expensive), a number of open source and homebrew PS3 SDKs are available in addition to a number of leaked PS3 SDKs.

The Play Station 3 uses the Xross Media Bar (XMB) as its graphical user interface, which is also used in the Play Station Portable (PSP) handheld console, a variety of Sony BRAVIA HDTVs, Blu-ray disc players and many more Sony products.

The software may be updated by downloading the update directly on the Play Station 3, downloading it from the user's local Official Play Station website to a PC and using a USB storage device to transfer it to the Play Station 3, or installing the update from game discs containing update data.

1) There is a chance that the auto-save feature will freeze the game, the progress bar stalls, remains only grey, and you must hold the PS button and select "Quit Game" and then the PS3 will do a fault and restart the machine.

This issue is exacerbated during split-screen play and online play.

Step 3 - Touch and hold the power button, you will hear the first beep, again for the playstation 3 to power on.

Continue to hold the power button and after about 5 seconds, you will hear a second beep for video reset.
